Hope & Social – Oporto Leeds 12th October

We covered these guys back in June for their album launch party  – See previous post and they have asked us to get involved with a special evening they are putting together on the 17th October. More than just a gig, the night will be a unique experience. In the first half they will play Architect of This Church live as an album and record the set. The second half of the night will be a mixture of covers, kazoos and cordial chaos. All of this will take place at The Crypt Dewsbury where the album was originally recorded. I believe all the tickets are now sold out but check their website for more information.

So on Monday night we found ourselves down at Oporto to meet up with the band and listen to another amazing set. If anybody has been to Oporto it is not the largest of venues and these guys came with all their gear and 3 piece horn section as well!!. The sound was amazing, I just wish the lighting was better. Why do places like this think that one red spotlight is enough. Anyway I managed to pull some pretty descent shots out of the pool of red light. Check out below.
